What’s Cookin'? #3 - Soundtrack on Streaming Services, Swedish Game Awards, and the Upgrade System!

We’re still working hard on the Upgrade System, but we expect it to be done by next week, so stay tuned! We’ve also got some other fun stuff surrounding the game which you can read about below!
Chapter 1 OST on Major Streaming Services

This was delayed (thanks to our distributor :D), but it’s finally here. Just Keep Running: Chapter 1 soundtrack is now on most major Streaming Services, like Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal, etc.
You can find links to the soundtrack on streaming services by clicking right here, I know I’m gonna be blasting “I Awaken Again” on every drive I go on from here on out.
You can also find the entire soundtrack on YouTube, and Bandcamp, and you’ll actually get access to the master files of the soundtrack if you decide to pay $2 for the game on Itch.io!

After the pleasantly successful (yet also unsuccessful) moment of the LBS Game Awards, I plan on submitting Just Keep Running to the Swedish Game Awards 2023 once the Upgrade System update is out and as polished as possible!
I know that last year, one of the entries for the LBS Game Awards was also nominated for a good chunk of categories in the Swedish Game Awards, and I do believe I have a good chance of possibly getting nominated. So why not take that chance and give it a try?

We are making progress!
Now, I’ll admit that I’ve been busy with other stuff during this week, so I didn’t find too much time to work on the game, but I have in fact finished making the “Upgrading” element of the system work without any perceived issues!
There’s still more work to do, like making sure the actual upgrades affect the in-game systems as they should, implementing a method for earning Upgrade Points, sound effects, etc.
Friendly reminder that if you do in fact like the game or have any useful feedback, drop a review or rating wherever you get the game, or just share the game around with anyone you wish! It’s a small gesture, but it makes a difference and makes us very giddy no matter if it’s positive or constructive criticism. 😁
We would also like to welcome anyone to upload or stream their gameplay of Just Keep Running, and feel free to share that gameplay with us if you so wish!
